Surviving...

No April Fooling from the nice dentist, so I let him live. A little over an hour to remove a messed-up tooth root, clean & pack & stitch it up...and now we "see what happens." Was hoping for more of a "and now you'll never hear from that tooth again as long as you live" but guess I'll take what I can get, huh?

In other news, I really do need to change my name to "Some Patients." They gave me knock-out pills that did almost nothing. "You'll just go home and sleep all day!" they assured me.

Yeaaaaaah, no. Wide awake. Not even fazed. Not even particulaly mellow. Pretty prickly, actually...the Denizens are walking BIG circles around me right now...although probably more because my jaw looks a bit grotesque and I have to grit my teeth to talk lest I start tearing out stitches. Awesome!!

Can't WAIT for the Great Tooth Drama of 2010 to be over.

Would like the Great Ohmygah We Won The $200M Lottery Jackpot drama next, please...

Thanks for letting us know you survived! Can't have been fun. Isn't it interesting to see that *something* will make the kids notice you?
Wishing you a great recovery and much quiet from the tooth.

Yay you made it. Okay, admittedly with a grumpy attitude, touchy mouth and swollen face, but you're HERE. Given that you were pondering possible sudden DEATH by historical figures due to tooth drama, this represents a vast improvement, right? Right??? C'mon, say it with me..."By the end of the weekend I'll be alllll better and then I can b!tch on my blog about all that wasted gardening time..." Glad you're doing okay (because sometimes 'okay' is jusssst fine)!

Oh mercy...hope you feel better soon! Tooth pain is horrible. Take it easy as much as possible (I know, like you can do that with four kids, but it has to be said!)
At least drink lots of hot tea and spend some time with your knitting, okay?

Hope you're feeling better by now. And that the swelling has gone down.

Happy Easter!
